Snowfix is going ON TOUR!

October 8th, 2008

Snowfix on tour

Snowfix have teamed up with Jack Wills to create a global tour of EPIC proportions!

We have decided here at Snowfix HQ that we have spent enough time loitering the slopes of Europe and it is now high time we started slashing punters and licking 1-pieces on the other side of the pond.

So in December this year we are flying over to Vancouver and road-tripping from Whistler down to Aspen.

Now, seeing as our viewers have been so good at providing us with photos and feedback over the years we have decided we are going to make it up to you by throwing a MONSTER PARTY at each resort we visit! And every single one of are you are invited!

Also, because we have linked up with Jack Wills we are going to have a truck-load of exclusive Snowfix Tour t-shirts to give out along the way, to those people who come along and party the hardest!

We are not forgetting about our roots here in Europe, afterwards we are going to be touring the resorts of Austria, France and Switzerland. So no matter which your local mountain is, at some point we won’t be too far away!

Check out the tour dates below:

USA / Canada

  • 9 - 12 December 2008: Whistler, British Columbia
  • 14 - 16 December: Big Sky, Moonlight Basin
  • 17 December: Yellowstone Club, Wyoming
  • 18 - 21 December: Aspen, Colorado

Europe

  • 4 - 5 January 2009: St. Anton, Austria
  • 6 - 7 January: Verbier, Switzerland
  • 8 - 13 January: France (Meribel, Courchevel 1800, Val d’Isere, Tignes, Val Thorens)

But it is not like us to make an announcement without some sort of competition, so what we want you guys to do is tell us all your local inside knowledge of the resorts we are visiting. From the best pistes, parks and backcountry secret spots. To the best local bars, local people and hangover recovery eateries!

What’s more, as we come from such a small island, we are feeling a little under prepared by the vastness of our road-trip. So tell us the best ways to kill time, games to play and pranks to keep the journey fun.

Keep it unique and imaginative, and the best ideas will receive a tour t-shirt without even having to leave the safety of the twinkling computer screen!
BUT WAIT, there is a SUPER-prize of Olympic Gold proportions, being a long sleeve T from the first big event of the season Freestyle.ch signed by all your favourite riders! Watch Snowfix #068 to see who has tagged the top.

SEE YOU ON TOUR!

me and some friends killed time by wearing our goggles for the hour drive back from milton keynes yesterday. got some funny looks, it being november and sunny.
might not have such an affect in the mountains tho
i think you should all learn try to learn an instrument, put together a band between u and add some music to the show
    guitar bassist and drummer?
you might even get good if u dont party too hard :)

Well I was looking at the tour dates and was saddened when I realized you were not coming to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village and staying up north. :( Next time you should plan a stop down here where the better snow is and bigger runs than the Yellowstone Club.

  6. Will October 11th, 2008 at 12:33 am

OMFG im missing you in big sky by 5 days!!!! Please tell me that you have changed the date back a week =P. And your missing lake Tahoe? that’s a wicked bad mistake due to the vast bowls of powder and the secret spots so sweet you get weak in the knees.

  14. Rob October 18th, 2008 at 10:51 am

Sick - I’ve had week organised for St Anton at the begining of Jan for ages. Never been before so, if you get some good ideas, please post them on the site.

When you’re in Whistler, they’re a bit keen on ID - so photoID is essential. I was 26 when I was last there and still got asked for ID!

  15. Val Thorenser October 18th, 2008 at 4:41 pm

    Val thorens beats Whistler anytime!

  16. theo October 29th, 2008 at 4:35 pm

Um, how comes your not coming to Park City, Utah? Im an instructor there and I maybe slightly biased but they have the best parks on Earth. Voted number one in North America twice in a row. There are a number of top pros there all the time and the general standard of riding is as high as Ive seen anywhere. And Ive been about as they say!

Still I do have to put up with the shit Utah beer!

  17. Oliver November 9th, 2008 at 12:05 am

Am actually heading out to Vancouver on the 9th in order to do a season in Whistler. Won’t be in whistler till the 11th but hope to catch you guys on the 11th amd 12th. Might even be on the same flight if you guys are heading out on the 9th.

  18. Choob November 13th, 2008 at 3:00 am
