    hey,
I love your show and always watch it!
I am an exchange student in the US right now, but I’m from Germany and always go snowboarding.
so anyways, I talked to my friends about the whole safety bar thing, and they said, that they just don’t do it. they even said that it might be better to do it, but yeah they just don’t think about it.
I’m looking forward to see more,
    marie

Just spent a week in Belle Plagne- France. Had a great day early on where there was fresh powder all over then it deteriated as the week progressed.
Shame I couldn’t get over to Les Arcs . I have composed a list of things that got on my nerves this week.. if you have any comments let me know what you think :

    1. English parents that teach their children to ski – don’t send them to ski school
    2. 8 year olds that cut you up on a jump and attempt to pop of the top
    3. ski schools that snake the whole slope
    4. dicks that cut you up when getting on a lift
    5. the tuck position on skis when done incorrectly.. poles vertical in the air
    6. people that cant ski trying a red or black.. or even trying a bit of off piste
    7. learners with kick arse skis and don’t know a thing
    8. anybody on snow blades

If you want to add to the list.. carry it on. Maybe it may get a feature on the next episode…

    Cheers

    Nick

  5. Sam April 11th, 2008 at 12:07 am

    Nick,
My Dad taught me to ski and I don’t see what is annoying about that, although he is a qualified instructor. When I went in ski school on a school trip it was rubbish. The instructor just cruised around and didn’t give us any technical advice at all.
All those other things are pretty annoying though, especially number 5, people who just bend at the waist and stick their poles up look ridiculous.
You can add monoboarders to that list as well, seriously, what do they think they look like?

  16. Amy April 12th, 2008 at 12:59 pm

i think you should add monoskiers and skiboarders to he list for definate.
sorry but they just look shit!
what annoys me the most is those old twats that wear tracksuit tops saying “ski team” on the back of them, thinking there all great and macho, with sunglasses and no hat bombing down the mountain knocking everyone over as they go by.

another great ep. guys, this podcast is shit hot!
and aww tims mum and dad are well sweet.

Great episode Tim and Jools, but…
    Where’s Charlie?
And a quick question of opinion to the snowfix crew or viewers:
I have enough of the materials to make two 8 ft (2.somthin’ meters) long boxes of one real long one for my back yard. Ya know the boxes that a easier to do presses on.
